waaaaaaaaaaa

My refrigerator broke, which triggered a huge unnecessary debacle with my dad wherein he told me not to get it fixed on the day I had planned, because instead he could get a new one for cheaper. I warned him that I had wanted to get it fixed on this particular day because it was the only weekday I would have off for a while, so if he pursued this plan, he should be willing to come to my house to accept the delivery of the supposed new fridge. He said no, he would just have it delivered at a time when my brother was home. My brother is a full time student, so... no.

My dad called saying he was having it delivered this Monday and that my brother would accept it. I said fine. Then today he called again like "Um so your brother is going to be at school, so can you be home between 2 and 4 instead?" me: "...... no, I'm going to be AT WORK. You know that."

So now my dad is coming over to my house, by himself, with nothing to do for likely several hours while he waits for a refrigerator. Did I mention he's nosy? I just had tons of fun locking away all my personal stuff and passwording my computer (which I don't need to do for just my brother, because he doesn't do dumb shit like that).

Yes, I should have just gone ahead with repairing it on the day I planned. Now we've gone without for a week instead of a weekend, and my dad nosing around here, and ugh.

EW.

*sends anti-snooping and quick delivery vibes*

I've never regretted moving well away from my family.

Being unable to accept deliveries and wait for repairmen is one of the most annoying parts of working full-time. Double annoyance when your only recourse for getting it done is a nosy person!

Hope everything goes well and there's no snooping. *sympathy*

Ack. The high-handed approach is bad enough. But that you can't trust him not to snoop in your private things is ... too ugh for words. :/
