soon

My conlang thing is done and went over well, or at least no one threw rotten fruit at me, which means aaaaagh it's almost time for Nano to start. I was smart and wrote an outline already, though I can't imagine I'll end up following it.

TODAY: Chores.
TOMORROW: New Tales of Monkey Island!
SATURDAY: Trick or treating with stepkid.
SUNDAY: *flail*

Are the rest of you ready?

It's probably as well I didn't know about the Monkey Island revival sooner, as I haven't had a lot of time to play games recently. I don't think I've popped in on my Sims' lives for about 6 months now. So all I have to do is decide whether I want this version for PC or the Wii. I'm inclining towards the Wii at the moment, just in case my next PC ends up being a Mac. :-)

And you're right about Dominic Armato. It's so good to hear Guybrush sounding like Guybrush. I'm really hoping they update the second game as well.

Nano really is dependent on whether I can figure out a plot I can stretch to 50,000 words right now. At least I've got a couple of days to whittle down my shortlist (and add to it), though I'm going to be woefully unprepared on 1 November.

I've been playing it on PC, but I will say the odd movement interface is probably the least appealing thing about the game, and in fact it plays like it wasn't designed to be played with a mouse. So maybe it was meant for the Wii.

I know last year you had an outline and didn't even get all the way through it by the time you hit 50k, so I don't doubt your ability to come up with something that will work. :)
