I'm doing some friends-list reshuffling today. In no case is it meant as a personal slight.

Every day is "defriending amnesty day" around here, by the way. If you don't want to read me, drop me; I won't be offended.

Why is it that your icon reminds me of a book? Am I just imagining things?

peeking in and hoping not overstepping by answering, but...

Iorek from The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman, I think.

Er, unless he doesn't come in until The Subtle Knife. I'm forgetting.

Oh no! He's definitely there in The Golden Compass! That is where I know him from. I was suspecting that...but I wasn't positive. It's been so long since I read it. I never did have a chance to finish The Subtle Knife. Perhaps I should now... Anyway, thank you for clearing that up!

[livejournal.com profile] _hannelore is quite right, it's Iorek from the His Dark Materials trilogy. The image itself is just a polar bear that reminded me of him; it isn't art from the books.

Well you picked a good picture. He looks very Iorek-ish.
