Stand and be counted is our theme of the week.

GIP. I've been listening to Fauré's cello/piano works all week.

There's gotten to be quite a few people on my friends-of list whom I've never talked to; if you're one of them, go ahead and introduce yourself! I do try to check out the LJs of everyone who friends me, but I'm sure I don't get to everyone. Who are you? How did you find your way here? What sorts of things do you post about?

Random linkage:

-Translate into Ígpën Lvishëth (Pig Elvish). Perpetrated by my colleagues at the ZBB.

-Guilty! Crimes of Disney Villains. Cruella de Vil's crimes include "reckless driving". (Who is it on my flist who's the Prince John fan? [livejournal.com profile] chresimos? Aha, aha, mm, yes, power...)

-[livejournal.com profile] twogoodmen, a Jack/Bootstrap Bill comm. Looks pretty dead, though, which is a damn shame.

-Speaking of dead, the always hilarious [livejournal.com profile] dailyplanet celebrates her favorite Precious Zombie Moments.

There's about half an hour left in the M-B : Hogwarts survey. It turns out that I have to work today, so I'll be putting together the results tonight or tomorrow morning.

Hello! Do you remember me? I used to be a lurker in our first Snapesupport chats. I'm obsessed with Snape, and I'm a silly Snarry shipper. I'm also an English > Portuguese and French > Portuguese professional translator, and I plan to apply for a Master degree in English Translation next year (I would like to study Theories of Translation). Browsing your lj, I've seen that you are creating a language, which I've found rather fascinating.

Yes, I remember you! You're one of those people I somehow thought I'd friended, but never actually did.

I found you when I was wandering the wilds of LJ. That and you're on [livejournal.com profile] theatresm's list. And [livejournal.com profile] snapesupport.

I'm pretty sure I found you through [livejournal.com profile] ani_bester or through a link in her profile. I could very well be wrong though, I'm lax in the head with these sorts of things.

However, I friended you because I'm a fan of your writing and I'm interested in what you have to say.
Fellow Harry Potter fan helped as well.

As for me.. umm... I post links to things I find funny, my art, icons I've made.. and the basic rants of life. Oh, and some times I think I have writing capabilities and I post my written works.

I'm mostly a commentor, rather than a writer. I enjoy reading fandom postings, and like to participate, but don't initiate much fan discussion. I use my LiveJournal account for Renaissance Festival talk and communicating with family, and my sons think I'm way off my rocker for reading fanfic *said with a sneer* so I just answer, mostly.

I found your LJ via and assorted Snapish links. Enjoy your takes on Pettigrew, and think your written language is lovely to look at. (http://www.livejournal.com/users/theatresm/)

An introduction, of sorts - it seems to be the week for it, eh?

I'm Greenie, I fangirled you a bit when you posted a few Snape essays I agreed with, possibly something you wrote for hpessays, can't remember... then I found out you liked Peter, read your Peter essays, at some point there was a fandom discussion which gave me an excuse to friend you, I found out you wrote and wrote well and voila!

Until recently I posted about everything under the sun but now I'm trying to remove references to Real Life and stuff - also because I've gone public. I've discovered a lot of things I want to rant about, and a lot of things in the world to love.

I (er, obviously from above) like Snape and Peter, preferably together (er. Don't kill me? *grin*) I overuse semi-colons; brackets; dashes - and I used to overuse ellipses... but, I trained myself not to do that. I RP, both online (though I've cut down on that, too - stupid exams) and offline, am a six-year ADnDer (and it seems like such a long time when I put it like that! *facepalm*) I love Milla Jovavich and this is only mentionable because of your Daily Planet link, and the zombies in Resident Evil are a little too awesome.

Finally, it was the first time I've ever taken one, but the all the tests told me I was INFP, though looking through other options I think of myself more as an ENTP, which is interesting. I'm a "Slytherpuff" in that I'm a Hufflepuff with a distinct taste of Slytherin about me (no ambition, unfortunately.) I always get Slytherin on those stupid test thingies, but I feel the actual hat'd stick me in Hufflepuff, so I chose that. Just for.. clarification.

I fall more in love with your Fauré icon the more I look at it -- those washes of blue and the light/shade of the face, the heaviness of the eyelid and the dignity/nostalgia of that moustache. It's mysterious and moody and does evoke something musical to me.

Thanks. It was a found black & white pic that I used the airbrush tool on. I tried to evoke something of what his music's been doing to me, but I think I'll have to write a post on it too. :)

Well, I friended you just to read the Harry Potter essays to which you link once in a while. Your journal seemed like a gathering spot for them, so to speak. I actually just found your LJ on the "Latest posts" feature LiveJournal has. As to who I am; Norwegian kid. I really don't post about anything cool, so don't feel you have to add me back - just consider my friending of you a "read by" rather than a "friend of".

Pleased to meet you. As it happens, my friend [livejournal.com profile] spican (who commented just before you in this thread) is also from Norway. Coincidences abound....
