CSI has gotten into a frustrating habit of giving us a fascinating first three-quarters of an episode, and then falling down in the last act. This was certainly the case last night -- for 45 minutes, I was riveted. The interrogation scene was verging on Homicide-quality, and I was very invested in the outcome. But the ending didn't really present us with any answers or possible answers, it just trailed off, which was disappointing.

Also, Gil's dialogue made almost no sense. "The good is oft interred with their bones" was meaningless in the context. "No room at the inn" only makes vague sense if you knew the victim was pregnant, which Gil didn't. With the classical references, these writers need to either do some research or shut the hell up. I'm just sayin'.

OK, here comes one of my stupid questions....

Is this the CSI crime thing? I've just disvovered CSI Miami and Law and Order which are lumped together on a Sat. night. They're addictive! Of course, we're probably a million episodes behind you lot. and it's 9pm so I'm off to watch it now!

CSI Miami is a spinoff of the original CSI (which takes place in Las Vegas). I don't really watch CSI Miami, but I do watch Law & Order -- it definitely is addictive!
