I'm afraid I'm still pretty ill and not able to keep up on things as I'd like to, but I had to share a little laugh I had this morning while doing my Norwegian lesson on Duolingo. I've just started and am still struggling with every word, which I think made it even funnier to me when I figured it out.

We were really happy with that report – of course it's going to take time because new structures will need to be planned and changes implemented from the ground up. But there's political will to do it now, it seems. The health ministry has been working at speed and got a law proposal about self-determined legal gender sent out before the summer holidays. It makes me happy that they're moving so quickly; it's a sign that they're seriously committed to change things.
Hah, the idea of Parker scowling over your Norwegian at dinner makes me giggle! You should teach him to say "Gi deg, pappa!"
Love you too, søtnos! :)

Gi deg, pappa!
Sorry, I don't know this one! Is it an idiom? Trying to look it up didn't get me far.

Norwegian lesson of today: 'Gi deg' literally means 'surrender', 'give yourself [up]', in the imperative, but it's also an idiomatic expression for 'stop it', as in, 'OMG stop it, Daaaad'. *g*
