Humor recs :: LJ ego poll

Fandom's a funny place today.

First, [livejournal.com profile] ntamara posted "A Sordid and Sorry Tale of Betrayal and Duct Tape" (PG-13). The request was for Fawkes/Dudley(!), and [livejournal.com profile] ntamara certainly managed that in this hilariously demented Dudley-goes-to-Hogwarts fic. Slut!Fawkes is a stroke of genius, and Dudley absolutely slayed me -- so perfectly horrid.

Then [livejournal.com profile] amanuensis1 posted her Drabble Night stuff [ADULT], and the last one, "Anything you can do, I can do better" (Ron/Harry), literally made me shriek with laughter. Yes, it was very undignified. But well worth it.

Also: Pirate Monkeys Inc. This is the artist who did the "House Sparklypoo" comic.

I've been wanting to do this for a while. It's anonymous to everyone but me, and I promise I won't tell who said what.

*smooch* You need to write much, much more Harry/Ron, is all I can say.

My my. How pure and *good* everyone is! I think my answers make me feel guilty now. *g*

.m, apparently very ego-aware

I'm a bit surprised that so few people (will admit they) care about this stuff. I thought making it anonymous would do the trick!

Ohhh, but you can also find her on LJ! :)

The only reason I often check who has friended me using the joule device is because I likie to be able to reciprocal friend when necessary, and know who is (er, officially, since I'm 'public') watching my journal.

It's strange, sometimes I'll return from a week or two of absence and find someone's been checking my joule for me. :/ I mean, what's so interesting about who's friended me?

Exactly.

I put the direct link to my joule page on my userinfo for my own convenience, and it usually gets checked every day, even if I don't check it. I was surprised to find this. Basically, it means people look at my userinfo a lot.

Like [livejournal.com profile] greeksong, I sometimes check someone else's joule to see if there's been some defriending going on. Shame on me!

The 'friends debt' question was a bit tricky. I don't, technically, like to be in 'friends debt,' but not for the ego/appearances reason which (I think) is implied. I feel shy about revealing stuff about myself to people who don't reciprocate, so I prefer mutual friending and would eventually unfriend someone who didn't friend me back. Conversely, I'd feel awkward being friended by someone I didn't care to friend back. But I prefer a small and stable friends list so it's not much of a problem in practice.
