*snoopydances*

[livejournal.com profile] bowdlerized sent me tasty cookies! And the recipe! And Bazooka gum with labels in Hebrew! And wee origami stars! Such happiness.

First, I have to show you guys this, from the card:

Which will be added to my growing collection of cards with Scabbers drawings. You'd almost think I'd developed some sort of reputation... And:

This is very cool, but alas, I cannot read it. Anyone care to help?

Bow is my hero. What did I do to deserve such friends? *hugs fandom*

Also, GIP. My newest fad. The art is by the talented [livejournal.com profile] appleviking, used with permission. The much cooler original is here.

your icon = HOT.

i love barty junior so much more after reading (er... skimming) that essay-type-thing. his obsessive devotion to voldemort makes so much more sense after seeing what a controlling hypocrite his father was. it's almost a textbook case history of paranoid schizophrenia. mmmm barty's so cool. something about them smart psycho boys....

right, going into careless-drooling-babbling mode again; nevermind me....

It is my conversations with [livejournal.com profile] chresimos that have made me increasingly aware of the excellence of Barty. He's the only reason I'm managing to get through GoF.

Man, don't be all down on GoF! Sure it doesn't make sense, but think of it this way.... It's like a bunch of random episodes of the TV show that is Harry Potter. All the little chapters and plotlines don't really have anything to do with anything else, but they're fun, they're entertaining, and they just provide more detail about the world and the characters Rowling deals with.

Again with the essay - it made me think of GoF in terms of themes. Especially the theme of volition - the Crouches, the house elves, the Unforgiveables... Veritaserum. .....mmMMmmm veritaserum.... The nightgown scene.

Right. What was I saying? >:}

Ahhh, Gof... So bloody random.

Really, GoF is all about two words:

Pyjama. Party.

That's all I can say.

Heee! I met [livejournal.com profile] appleviking today! She was working on a beautiful Snape sketch, and I was blown away by her talent. And was also embarrassed, because I already knew her by sight, but had never spoken to her before.

Hee! She is crazy with the talent!

Yes, I love her art -- I can't wait for the deck to be complete. I shall have to print them out -- Barty's one of my favorites, but I've never been able to flesh him out because I don't really have a clear image of him in my head. This was a refreshing pic, to say the least.

And the stickart rocks. Stickmen + potbelly = Revolution.

Yay! You got them! And you didn't get anthrax from the packaging! :P

The comic says (right to left):
Panel 1: David, tell me a story.
Panel 2: Which story, Tzvika?
Panel 3: About a boy who had a darling [friend] David...
Panel 4: Who gave him a shekel as a present!

(That barely qualifies as a joke--these comics are always so lame!)

The small writing says "Did you know? The first photograph (roofs of houses) was made in 1822, but that wasn't the greatest feat: the exposure of the camera lasted 8 hours!"

*collapses into bed*

Agreed, only I think that it's not "David", but "dod" (uncle). So the first panel should read "Uncle, tell me a story" and the third one "About a boy who had a nice uncle". :)

I'm having an overwhelming urge to lick your icon. My Barty-love is ohsofuckedup, but I love him to little pieces.
