Here it is: the first nice weather of the summer, and the first day of my much-needed vacation. So what do I do? I go and get a cold. Sniff.

Not much going on in my fannish life at the moment. The Toby/Andy/twins thing grabbed my attention like nothing else on West Wing has in a long time, but it still didn't inspire me to write.

I've got something CSI-related brewing, but it's Weird (tm), and I don't know the CSI community at all. (Anybody out there know what's what in that fandom, or have advice on where to start poking around?)

I'm hoping to get the current HP Improv finished before the due date, but most of my writing energy is absorbed in the Original Novel That Ate My Life. I've never written anything book-length before, and since I take the attitude that the first time you try something it's bound to be pretty bad, I'm having fun with it. John Glover, Reese Witherspoon, and a young James Spader are going to star in the movie version. ;)
