Hey, [livejournal.com profile] idlerat! [livejournal.com profile] leogryffin! Any of you other folks who think Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert should kiss a lot!

[livejournal.com profile] malograntum presents: Real people on fake news say imaginary gay things to each other.

I did have a reasonably happy birthday, actually -- thanks, all, for the many kind wishes.

And: [livejournal.com profile] fluffyllama wrote me birthday fic! :D

Skipping Lunch (NC-17, Remus/Peter)
October 1981. Remus reaches out, Peter tries to stop the ball rolling. Bleak and hopeless, threadbare. So perfectly suited to the characters, the canon. We know there can be no happy endings here. The inevitability is what I love about pastfic, and Llama so perfectly plays that card. If you think this was an inappropriate birthday gift, you don't know how much I love depressing fic. :)

' "Yes, I thought something warm would be best. You know, since you're always cold."

And he always said the wrong thing. Remus dodged out of the way of the glance at his threadbare clothing that was going to present a real problem come winter...'

[livejournal.com profile] viva_gloria has written a delightfully bizarre PotC fic called Human Voices (G, gen). It seems she was inspired by my ficlet Marvel, which is pretty cool.

Those of you following the Presidential race are probably familiar with http://www.electoral-vote.com. You can now subscribe to an RSS feed for site updates: [livejournal.com profile] electoralvote. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bowdlerized for the heads-up.
