Funny you picked those out; the main character is partially based on an online friend (though naturally in the course of writing she's gone beyond 'being' that person), and those little tics are very typical of her. :P
And it's all been pretty dry, more a sketch than a finished painting, you know? What people usually like about my writing (if anything) is the verbal artsyness, but I have to think to produce that and it takes too long if I'm going to write so many words. I would like to do something srs with this plot after November, though. I'm definitely not under the impression that any of it is good now!
