pauraque_bkNot that he reads my LJ, but happy birthday to my baby brother! He's 17 today. Amazing. I asked him what kind of birthday cake he wanted (I bake, so choices were wide open), and he, as I should have expected, answered that he wanted a "normal" cake. When I pressed further as to what this meant, he only reiterated that he wanted one that was "just normal". He'll be changing his surname to Dursley any day now.

atdelphi has posted the first chapter of her Snape/Filch novella, The Yorkshire Palimpsest. I've been eager to read this for a long time. I normally don't read fan novels, but this is Delphi. Chapters will be posted to delphi_nano, or you could just friend atdelphi and never miss any of her tasty, tasty fic.

Very Perky Woman: Hi, is this Mr. [Real Name]?
Eo: Zzzzzzzyes.
VPW: This is So-and-so from the DNC, and we just wanted to remind you that we'll be fighting the administration every step of the blah blah blah never give up blah blah not a mandate blah blah blah so will you double your last donation?
Eo: Zzzzzwhat? I thought we weren't supposed to spend anything today.
VPW: Ha ha ha. Seriously, gimme money.
Eo: Not now. Sleeping. Cat meowing. Must go work. Send donation card in mail. *hangs up, gets up to feed cat, attempts to find pants*
