Pets and visitors.
Jun. 3rd, 2005 12:10 pmYeesh. Yesterday sure sucked. Now let's look at pictures of baaaaaby animals.
This is Catherine the Great. She had literally just shed when these pictures were taken (you can see her discarded skin in the background), so she's at her shiniest!

Here you can see her "piano keys" ventral pattern, characteristic of wild type corn snakes.
I took some kitty pictures too.

Dana's favorite window spot, at least while I'm working. Preferred activities while in this position include hitting my hands with her tail while I'm trying to type, and pushing the keyboard off the table with her back legs.

Aw!
And finally, a slug.

A typical example of the many slugs that have been mysteriously appearing in my kitchen. This one is about four inches long, but I've had bigger. Ew, my kitchen floor is covered with cat hair.
Everybody better now? Gooood.

Date: 2005-06-03 07:31 pm (UTC)My kitty's favorite spot while I'm working is on the keyboard tray, between me and the keyboard. This way, to work, I have to peer around her and either type one-handed or twine my arms between her legs.

Oh, and my kitchen floor tends to come covered in cat hairs, too, if that's any consolation. Especially when both our (very long-haired) cats blow their undercoat in spring/early summer -- it's a regular hair explosion. :)

Date: 2005-06-03 09:37 pm (UTC)Re the cat hairs: maybe I should send Ben to mop your kitchen floor. He recently reached the ripe old age of 18 where you're either contributing rent money in this household or putting in maintenance time. And I have to say I'm really enjoying my clean fridge and other projects I'd always meant to get to but never quite did.
