Nip/Tuck season finale.
Dec. 21st, 2005 01:31 am- Well, we should have known Quentin was the Carver immediately upon finding out that he was bisexual. All bisexuals are violent psychopaths. Didn't you hear?
- But I still thought it was possible that Sean was the Carver up until the explanation of what had happened to Kimber. It was so gruesome that I simply could not believe they would attribute it to him. And they didn't, so... I guess that's good?
- Actor Who Plays Quentin did a very good job with what he had to do here, I think. It still didn't really have any dramatic resonance, but I bought it from him.
- Additionally, all people with disfiguring birth defects go crazy. Okay, fair's fair, Kit was the one who said that, it's not like we're supposed to believe her.
- At least we're not still pretending that Kit is actually a passable excuse for a detective. Good lord.
- I could accept, from a characterization standpoint, that Cherry would go skipping off to the mall with someone who fairly recently kicked the shit out of her. But god was it a stupid thing for her to do.
- I admit to early dubiety, but Matt's storyline this season has turned out to be the only one that was consistently developed and made continuous sense, at least to me.
- I am so glad this is not my fandom.
very_improbable?

Date: 2005-12-21 01:56 pm (UTC)I always thought Quentin was the Carver, and I couldn't figure out why he was suddenly off the hook just because he got carved when that's what they accused Christian of. And yeah, was glad of the twist at the end because Kit really was a crappy detective. Obviously completely out of her mind, too.
I don't know, the whole thing felt like a scooby doo ending for me. "Look! It's not the swamp thing, it's just old Mr. Smith!"
But eh, still enjoyed it. :)

Date: 2005-12-22 08:21 am (UTC)I also kind of lost track of why Kit wanted to investigate Quentin in the first place. I mean, wouldn't the purpose of her being the investigator be to go on wild goose chases (Christian, Liz) so that they would never be caught?
