deslea's invitation to write an episode of X-Files: VCU this season. I haven't written to a deadline in a good long while, and I haven't written a casefile in longer than that, so it's a little nerve-wracking. I've already gotten out the calculator and figured out how many words I have to write per day to make the deadline and the minimum length, and it's not an outrageously high figure, but it's still enough of a challenge to be exciting -- considering that when I'm left to my own devices, my writing usually proceeds at a glacial pace.
Now all I have to do is drag myself away from VH1's "I Love the '70s" and actually write something, and I'll be set.
