Yesterday at work was aggravating on many levels, not least of all because I ended up getting there much earlier than I actually needed to. However, I finally managed to escape in order to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] eponis. We went for dinner at the Metreon and talked fic and fandom for hours, which is pretty much my notion of an ideal evening. Great, great fun!

In the course of conversation, [livejournal.com profile] eponis brought to my attention that I have a very similar name (pauraque) to a character in 1602, which may explain why no one can spell it...?

All too soon I had to head back across the bay to meet up for Rocky Horror with an old friend of mine (how old, and how friendly?) who was also visiting the area this week. Neither of us had been to RHPS in quite a while, though at one time we were heavily involved in it. Amazing to see some of the same people still at it after all these years. A good time was had, and many cheerful obscenities were yelled.

I stumbled into bed at about 3:45am, more worn out than I'd been in a long, long time. I didn't have to get up for work today until about six hours later, but it was all I could do to drag my old bones over here. I'm disheveled and unshowered, and I completely blew my voice out at RHPS, so I sound a bit like a hung-over Harvey Fierstein. I'd do it all over again, though. Good times, good times.

And let me introduce [livejournal.com profile] keladryb, the aforementioned old friend, and her brand new LJ. This is the same Keladry who inspired me to write "Oil", for those of you to whom that means something. Welcome to the madhouse, Kel.

[livejournal.com profile] friend_whoring is attempting to max out their friends-of list and then draw a fractal-like structure describing the manner in which everyone found the journal. You know you want in on this.

Here are some very good XF writers of whom [livejournal.com profile] keladryb may not have heard, in alphabetical order:

[livejournal.com profile] 3jane - web
[livejournal.com profile] bardsmaid - web
Firecracker (a fanfic writer not on LJ? c'est impossible!)
[livejournal.com profile] flambeau - web
[livejournal.com profile] kellykeil - web
[livejournal.com profile] sabine101 - web
[livejournal.com profile] spican - web
[livejournal.com profile] vaznetti - web

How lazy have you become when you look through all the TV dinners in your freezer to find one that doesn't have to be stirred halfway through microwaving it?
