I still haven't finished reading all the Kinky Kristmas fics that were posted while I was out of town, but I can at least point to my own entry:

Nine Ways of Looking at a Book (R, Hermione/Minerva) [AO3]
Hermione has come back to Hogwarts to teach history. She finds herself looking to the future, too.

Now, this is a double-blind fest in which you don't know whose prompt you're picking, but how I didn't guess I was writing for [personal profile] kelly_chambliss based on the characters and kinks, the world will never know! I never got around to prompting anything and I wasn't sure I was going to write either, but come on now... Hermione/Minerva with book kink? How am I going to pass that up? :D

Kinky Kristmas reveals are up and I am filled with shame at how little I managed to read before disappearing into the holidays. :| Well, at least the fics aren't going anywhere, right?

My two lovely gifts were written by [personal profile] tjs_whatnot (Forever and Always) and [livejournal.com profile] dexstarr (Sin and Salt). Thank you both very, very much. ♥

Now, Kinky Kristmas is a double-blind fest where you don't know who you're writing for, and yet I have managed to pick [personal profile] songquake's prompts two years in a row. We are clearly on the same wavelength in a wonderful way. :)

I wrote:

Theme and Variations (NC-17, Padma/Lavender) [AO3]
"Ready?" Padma asks with a raised eyebrow, sliding her belt out from the loops of her jeans.
content: Daddy kink, ageplay, gender play, D/s, spanking, dirty talk

Um... my id is showing, isn't it? I really like gender play, and I really like Daddy kink when Daddy is a girl, but it's not such a common thing in fandom. I am happy to contribute to there being more of it. >:D

Aaaaaand posting has started at [livejournal.com profile] severus_fest where I'll have a fic going up at some point, and of course I haven't managed to read anything yet, but OMG did you guys see this amazing art that was posted for it?

Snapebastian (PG-13, Snape, worksafe) by Mystery Artist

Brilliant take on Snape as St. Sebastian, with very insightful use of the traditional imagery.

And now to put together a 2014 roundup post, and then contemplate how the hell I managed to sign myself up for so much that is due in January and February. /o\

Hey look look look, I got a second gift for Kinky Kristmas! :D

Sin and Salt (NC-17, Aurora Sinistra/Pansy Parkinson) by Mystery Author
Pansy Parkinson’s seventh year is full of secrets.

I'd prompted a scenario where there's a slow build to a forbidden relationship between a teacher and a student, but I didn't specify characters, because I wanted to be surprised. And I was, in such a wonderful way! Aurora is caught between her convictions and her fears, not a villain but definitely no hero. Pansy is brighter than most people realize, but morally adrift and not quite mature enough to understand the consequences of the power she seeks. Good stuff.

And now to finish my [livejournal.com profile] severus_fest fic. /o\

The Kinky Kristmas fest at [insanejournal.com profile] daily_deviant has started posting, and they've already put up the lovely gift for meeeeeee:

Forever and Always (R, Ginny + Albus Severus/Scorpius) by Mystery Author
Ginny needs to get a new life, but first she accidentally lives in Albus’.

This was one of those prompts that I threw in thinking "nah, no one will write this". Isn't it great to be wrong? :D I love how much vulnerability and poignancy the author was able to put into it, while still keeping that dirty/guilty edge. It's just what I was hoping for.

Posting will carry on throughout December, so check it out, there's sure to be something for everyone. And one of the fics will be mine! >:D

Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating! I like Thanksgiving because I love cooking, so this is my kind of holiday. (It also helps that I don't work in retail anymore, so there's no reason to dread tomorrow.) This year most of the family was out of town (including my kid visiting his grandparents), so it's just me and [livejournal.com profile] _hannelore, which is not stopping me from cooking all the holiday things. Well, all the vegetarian holiday things, which turns out to be most of them anyway.

Also, a foot of snow fell overnight, so it's quite the winter wonderland outside. There's no wind, so we've got snow piled up along each individual twig of each tree, as well as along each wire of each power line. Kind of hilarious. Fortunately we're not going anywhere, so I don't have to think about digging out the car.

For any mods who may be looking suspiciously in my direction... my Kinky Kristmas fic is basically done. It needs to be gone over one more time, but I figure it doesn't matter much if it's turned in the day of the deadline or the day before, so I'm letting it be the day of. Boy did I have a hard time with it. It's not often that I have to completely scrap what I have for a fest fic and start over, but that happened, and it made it take a dismayingly large number of man-hours to produce what turned out to be a shortish fic. Oh well.

Hugs to those going through a rough time this holiday. Thinking of you all. ♥

Oh man, I haven't posted in a while, have I? Real life was doing a number on me, not in a bad way, just in a busy way. I am going to get to all those December meme prompts, too, but first... the Kinky Kristmas reveals post is up at [insanejournal.com profile] daily_deviant, so I can say that I wrote this, to [personal profile] songquake's delicious prompts:

Pomona Sprout and the Five Points from Hufflepuff [AO3]
(NC-17, school-age-but-probably-legal Pomona/Minerva, kinks including tickling, teasing, and embarrassment)

Speaking of which, I found an embarrassment of riches in my [community profile] fandom_stocking! There seems to be a glitch right now where I can't comment there without it being screened, but rest assured I love my gifts and deeply appreciate everyone who took the time to make something for me, including but not limited to:

- State-Transition Function by [personal profile] sineala (ST:TOS, Uhura gen with linguistics!)
- Your Move by [personal profile] moontyger (WoW, Anduin/Wrathion with UST!)
- For the Horde by [personal profile] hannelore (WoW, Thrall & Vol'jin gen with barely-subtextual D/s!)
- An Introduction by [personal profile] smallbrownfrog (HP, Luna/Minerva pre-femslash with Gilbert & Sullivan references!)
- Outstanding by [personal profile] chokolattejedi (HP, Hermione/Septima with power play!)
- Krycek and Scully art from [personal profile] ani_bester and another Krycek art from [personal profile] tarlanx! *rolls around in XF nostalgia*
- Uhura art from [personal profile] trobadora! Uhura! ♥♥♥

I really meant to do all kinds of things for this fest, but what actually happened was I signed up for it and then promptly forgot about it until the deadline had, in fact, passed. I suck, I know. Next year I'll do better. But due to the technical problems that delayed the fest going live, I managed a few icons for people, at least, and one ficlet, which is so tailored to [personal profile] hannelore's interests that it might be incomprehensible to anyone else, but here it is anyway:

The Terrible Secret of Warsong Gulch
(G, Venture Bros., 21 & 24 friendship)
