this might be harder than i expected?

We got finished in WoW at about midnight, so I started Nano. I... am really going to have to write a lot faster. I wrote 768 words in 2 hours. Then again, I was writing directly into the computer, which always makes it slow for me, because I spend too much time writing things over. Writing on paper and then copying onto the computer is better for me.

I had an idea for an opening scene before, but I didn't use it at all. I wrote a different one. I do not think it was all that bad, so you can gaze upon it if you like!

Total for day 1: 2356. I'm ahead! I really want to be ahead, these first couple of weeks, because after that is when I'm going to be super busy. I am seriously worried about how I'll find time. But um, stuff. Write stuff and things.

The Nano web site is very hard to access right now. Presumably people will get less obsessive about updating their word counts soon, and it will be easier for me to obsessively update mine.

I'm not going to post it all as I write it, because I don't write in order, and it would just be confusing. Hopefully as I get closer to the end I'll be able to post interesting parts that can stand on their own.
