Man, I get so weirdly uncomfortable announcing big things and I never know how to preface them, so just imagine there's a smooth and natural-sounding segue here and then read the following sentence: hannelore and I are getting married next year!

I really want to write something thorough about why this is important to me, why legal marriage, and why now (I've been accused of many things, but making snap decisions is not one of them), but I haven't managed to get into the right mindset for it yet. It'll come.
