I got so caught up in the story that I forgot what was going to happen to Cedric. Cedric was learning so much about himself with all the confusion that being a teenager lends to the process. To have all that cut off was painful.
When I thought of Victor after the maze before this story, I wondered about his reaction to Karkaroff. Now I ponder how Cedric's death affected him.
The d/s was adroitly handled. Very real and very erotic.
