Today's West Wing was "Jed & Leo Get Married" "Bartlet For America". I'm not a die-hard Jed/Leo slasher (Leo can do better), but in this episode, their love really is so canon.

Leo: The President was at the debate site walking the stage. A podium is a holy place for him. He makes it his own, like it's an extension of his body. You ever see a pitcher work the mound so the dirt does exactly what his feet want it to do? That's the President. He sees it as a genuine opportunity to change minds, also as his best way of contributing to the team-- he likes teams-- I love him so much-- I like the little things. The way a glass feels in your hand, a good glass-- thick, with a heavy base. I love the sound an ice cube makes when you drop it from just the right height--

And he barely even pauses for breath. It all flows together, this shameless love, pride, reverence -- and then he starts talking about the booze, and there isn't even a direction change: it's that same reverent infatuation, just twisted around somehow. John Spencer *owns* this scene.

Abbey: Sam Seaborn.
Jed: Which one is he?
Abbey: [pause] The young one.

Dude, you know she was about to say "the hot one".

Also, I think Aaron Sorkin should be prohibited from ever writing the word "women" again.
