It's easy to find the cover art for the French Harry Potter paperbacks online, but they don't show the reverse sides, which also have illustrations, so I thought I'd share. I have the first four.
Harry Potter à l'école des sorciers (Harry Potter at the wizards' school)

"The day he turns eleven, Harry Potter, an orphan raised by an uncle and aunt who despise him, sees his existence turned upside down. A giant comes looking for him to take him to Hogwarts ('Poudlard'), the celebrated school of sorcery where a place has always been waiting for him. Flying broomsticks, casting spells, fighting Trolls: Harry Potter is revealed to be a truly gifted wizard. But what mystery surrounds his birth, and who is the terrifying V..., the mage whose name no one dares to pronounce?"
The caption under Harry says "Harry waited for flying lessons with impatience". The caption under Hagrid says "Hagrid the giant, guardian of the keys".
Voldemort, whose name is French to start with, is also called Vous-Savez-Qui or Tu-Sais-Qui (You Know Who), and Celui-Dont-On-Ne-Doit-Pas-Prononcer-Le-Nom (He Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken).
Harry Potter et la Chambre des Secrets (Harry Potter and the Room of Secrets)

"A crashing return in a flying car, a strange curse that is slaughtering the students [Is this right?], this second year at the wizards' school will not grant any rest! Between magic potion classes, Quidditch matches and battles against evil spells, will Harry Potter find the time to delve into the mystery of the Room of Secrets? A magical book for confirmed wizards."
The caption by Draco says "Malfoy zipped past like a rocket."
The caption under Lockhart says "You will have the most awful (lit 'beautiful') frights of your life."
Tom Riddle is called Tom Jedusor in this book, for anagrammatic reasons:
TOM ELVIS JEDUSOR > JE SUIS VOLDEMORT
Harry Potter et le prisonnier d'Azkaban (Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban)

"Sirius Black, the dangerous criminal who has escaped from the fortress of Azkaban, is looking for Harry Potter. So it's under careful guard that the apprentice wizard makes his third return. On the program: divination classes, making a shrinking potion, care of hippogryffs... But is Harry really safe from the danger that threatens him? A staggering book that will carry you through a whirlwind of surprises and emotions."
This was long before the movie, but Lupin looks very movie-ish!
As a point of interest: Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are Lunard, Queudver, Patmol et Cornedrue.
Harry Potter et la Coupe de Feu (Harry Potter and the Cup of Fire)

"Harry Potter is fourteen years old, and beginning his fourth year at the Hogwarts school. Big news awaits Harry, Ron and Hermione when they arrive: the holding of an exceptional magic tournament between the most famous schools of sorcery. Already, the foreign delegations are arriving. Harry rejoices... Too soon. He will find himself plunged into the heart of the most dramatic events he has ever had to face. Fascinating, funny, shocking, this fourth volume is the central pillar of Harry Potter's adventure."
Pilier de storgé, peut-être? I have no clue why Padfoot is here.
There are no illustrations inside the books, or I'd scan those too.
You may be interested to know that the French term for magic wand is baguette magique. ^_^
[EDIT: I just realized that Lockhart and Lupin are wearing exactly the same outfit. Wtf. Did Lupin mug him? Or is the teal-sweater-with-red-tie ensemble standard for DADA teachers?]
