There were two cuts this episode, one after the groups sang, and another after everyone sang singly again. Our Heroes both made it past cut #1.
When they sang alone, Fifties Guy was solid, and he made the second cut.
Scooter Girl also gave a strong performance, but she picked a serious song, which the judges apparently didn't like -- Simon complained that she'd gone too far away from her initial wacky personality, and now she was 'boring'. She got cut. :(
