Woo! #46 -- er, I mean, [livejournal.com profile] ani_bester -- has posted art for my fic 'Trio' (NC-17, Peter/James). I'm a happy camper!

'Hero Worship' (NC-17, Peter/James) by [livejournal.com profile] ani_bester - not work-safe

And now it's time for the answers to the guess-who-you-are meme. Kudos to everyone who was brave enough to play! This was fun. If you didn't get a chance to guess and want to try, go do that first.

1. I gacked this meme from you. You write fab Peter fic, occasionally for me! You are pleasant to the touch, and roam the mountains of Central America. [livejournal.com profile] fluffyllama

2. You make my fic not suck, and put up with my artistic tantrums and general insanity. I would be lost without you. You also write gorgeously, and deserve to be far more known for it than you are. [livejournal.com profile] caesia390

3. Everything you draw and sculpt looks magical and makes one want to cuddle it. You also post cute animal photos. Looking at your journal melts my cruel, icy exterior. [livejournal.com profile] trickofthedark

4. I dig your loose and sketchy line art, which occasional makes me want to write Sirius/Harry. [livejournal.com profile] waccawheels

5. You draw and write well, though I think I haven't read very much of your fic. I'd be interested to get to know you, but find you a bit intimidating. I'm not sure if you read my journal. [livejournal.com profile] cluegirl

6. You left a phone message for me in a dead language. ♥ [livejournal.com profile] ellen_fremedon

7. I can't remember why I friended you, but you post interesting poems and photos that I look at but rarely comment on. [livejournal.com profile] cruisedirector

8. Our fannish interests have diverged, but you like Gilbert & Sullivan, and that's always a good thing. [livejournal.com profile] thepiratequeen

9. You're at a bit of a crossroads in your life, and you're stressing about it, but I know you'll get through. You are a far better writer than you get credit for. We talk all the time. I like you a lot. You hate bicycles. [livejournal.com profile] bowdlerized

10. You hardly use your LJ, which is a shame. You are what we would call in fandom a BNF, except you've sort of created your own fandom, haven't you? [livejournal.com profile] zompist

11. I've met you in real life. I'm constantly amazed by your knowledge of biology and linguistics, and always read your posts even when I don't comment on them. [livejournal.com profile] sedesdraconis

12. You recommended some fic of mine, and some fic by friends of mine. I friended back. I don't really know who you are, though I wonder. You are a mysterious reccer to me. I wonder if you're reading this. [livejournal.com profile] ragtime_to_time

13. I friended back because you seemed to post a lot of fic, but I don't think I've gotten around to reading it yet. I don't really know you. [livejournal.com profile] neon_yellow

14. You're a real-life friend, though we don't see each other so much anymore. You clearly read my journal regularly, though I wonder what you make of the fandom stuff I post about. I read you, but rarely comment. [livejournal.com profile] robkaiote

15. I friended you because I like your cartoons. I don't know you. [livejournal.com profile] scarah2

16. You're known as a Peter writer from way back, though you don't post much fannish stuff anymore. We haven't really talked, but I've been reading your entries for quite a while, so I feel like I know you a bit. [livejournal.com profile] cedarlibrarian

17. You're awesome! You organize tons of stuff in fandom, and never get enough credit for it. I read the fic you're best known for when I first got into fandom, and actually didn't like it that much, so I'm glad I didn't know you were the same person when I encountered you on LJ! I do like a lot of your stuff, though, and have recced you. [livejournal.com profile] scribbulus_ink

18. I friended you during the PoA re-read, because we were disagreeing in interesting ways, and I like to have smart people around who disagree with me. It turns out that we disagree on lots of stuff in real life too, again interestingly. [livejournal.com profile] fernwithy

19. You haven't posted in ages, and I don't really know what happened to you, or if you're still around. You are friends with #84, I think. [livejournal.com profile] darkkitten1

20. I friended you because I liked your PotC fic, and was trying to edge my way into that fandom. Still edging, still liking. [livejournal.com profile] firesignwriter

21. Your fic is great, but you never posted around enough to get noticed. I'm not sure if you're still about. You'll always have a fan in me. [livejournal.com profile] secretcodename

22. I'm not quite sure of your age, but you seem young to me. You also wrote my OTP! Occasionally I get you mixed up with #56. [livejournal.com profile] lycoris

23. I friended you because you like Crabbe/Goyle. Don't know much else about you yet. You have the same name as #6, and that's a bit confusing. [livejournal.com profile] ellensmithee

24. I consider you a good friend. I love you very dearly, and think about you often. I miss the way we used to talk. [livejournal.com profile] deslea

25. I like your PotC recs and links, but I don't really know you. [livejournal.com profile] fabu

26. When I want to give an example of how great and realistic and disturbing chan fic can be, I mention your name. There are scenes you've written that were so vivid to me that I don't remember the words, I just remember them physically, visually. The *swimming pool* scene... [livejournal.com profile] chaos_rose

27. You're a friend of #109, I think. You give good essay and you like grammar. Other than that, dunno. [livejournal.com profile] gaeta

28. We met in two different places around the same time under different names, and it took us a while to figure out that "person I met here" and "person I met there" were one and the same. Whenever someone mentions Snape being interested in the "Dark Arts", I always think of you and grin. [livejournal.com profile] dphearson

29. Our love is so polar. [livejournal.com profile] bethbethbeth

30. I often wish we had more similar tastes in fic so that we could squee over the same stuff. Nonetheless, my love for our conversations is great and t00by. You like to be anonymous, so I try not to weird you out by being too personal, but often I cannot resist, because you are so very cuddly. Not to mention elite. [livejournal.com profile] chresimos

31. I don't know you very well, but I know enough to respect you for the hard work you do in fandom, and for your maturity and sanity in a disagreement. You write good smut, too. [livejournal.com profile] gmth

32. I like your writing, but you've always felt a bit distant to me. You don't post very much anymore. When you do post, you often seem sad. [livejournal.com profile] cursive

33. You post adorable pictures of yourself in cute outfits. You seem very chatty and outgoing, someone who has a lot of friends. You're young and likeable. [livejournal.com profile] dancing_moon

34. I haven't known you for very long, but I like your fic. Your name is either a season or a pasta. [livejournal.com profile] primavera8180

35. We've chatted before. You post often, and are a very clear presence on my friends list; I always feel like I know what's going on with you. You have a cool job, and are the only person I know on your continent. [livejournal.com profile] ptyx

36. When we first met, it was to gush about Julius Caesar. You don't post a whole lot, but I like you. I wish we could go see a play sometime. [livejournal.com profile] threeoranges

37. You're cool. You don't post enough, and when you do, I get a bit excited. [livejournal.com profile] forked

38. I've just friended you, and I'm excited to have you on my list. You're a superb writer, and seem to be a nice, thoughtful person. I look forward to getting to know you. [livejournal.com profile] glitterdemon

39. I know you from somewhere else. I think you have an amusing name. You don't seem to post on LJ anymore. [livejournal.com profile] dudicon

40. You've written the most hardcore kink I've ever read, and inspired me to do the best work I've done in this fandom. I thought you might be scary when I first friended you, but you're actually very good-natured. Even when you're writing something that doesn't hit my kink, I often read anyway because there's always something interesting in your work. [livejournal.com profile] amanuensis1

41. I admire your art from afar. [livejournal.com profile] ebilsoki/[livejournal.com profile] snaples

42. Your fic is good, but I've been pathetically remiss in feedbacking. You have a tendency to post when tipsy. [livejournal.com profile] pitchblackrose

43. You changed your name, and that threw me off a bit. But I like your art. My Popple is still gayer than yours. [livejournal.com profile] greeksong

44. Brilliant character and canon analyst. Post more theories, please! [livejournal.com profile] donnaimmaculata

45. You rec like a mofo! And I think you are yet another reccer whose own fic goes relatively unappreciated. I yearn for more Peter fic from you. [livejournal.com profile] ntamara

46. Your art is very warm and humanistic. Your Peter is far more adorable than the one in my head, but I like looking at him anyway. [livejournal.com profile] ani_bester

47. You are a multifandom goddess. You post about strange anime series I've never heard of, and various other things. [livejournal.com profile] prillalar

48. We've met in person, and I remember it very fondly. I wish you lived closer to me. I really want you to be safe and happy in every possible way. You wrote a fic that is one of my top ten favorite stories ever, I think. [livejournal.com profile] eponis

49. We know each other from another fandom. I like you. You used to post about your bathroom a lot, but I think that's sorted itself out now. [livejournal.com profile] muridae_x

50. You once said you didn't like that so many people had you friended, so I feel a bit guilty following your journal or bugging you in any way. But your cartoons amuse me endlessly. [livejournal.com profile] plausive

51. We've met in person. I like you, though I feel rather inadequate compared to you. [livejournal.com profile] idlerat

52. You post a lot, but I read all of it. I think you're very smart, and more loving than you'd like people to think. [livejournal.com profile] iibnf

53. You do cool art. I think we have more in common than you know. [livejournal.com profile] wootsauce

54. I'm embarrassed to admit how much I like your fic, but that's my hang-up. It saddens me a bit that you're working on a long novel, because I don't read fan novels (don't have the time). [livejournal.com profile] maeglinyedi

55. I don't know quite what to make of you, but I do know I like your art. [livejournal.com profile] appleviking

56. I used to get you mixed up with #22, but I've got it now. You're young, but seem to know where you're going in life, or at least in school. [livejournal.com profile] kelmedren

57. I like your fic lots. I forgot or never realized that your name comes from HP canon, and when I came across the word while reading one of the books, I was very surprised! [livejournal.com profile] pogrebin

58. Our fannish interests have diverged. I don't know you extraordinarily well, but I like you. You enjoy reality TV, which makes me feel less lame for also enjoying it. [livejournal.com profile] kristenk2

59. I distinctly remember friending you because you were doing a thing where you posted nice stuff about people you knew in fandom. You're good folks. [livejournal.com profile] leogryffin

60. Yours was the first LJ I ever followed, before I even had one myself. [livejournal.com profile] lizbee

61. You rule. And I've seen you naked. :O [livejournal.com profile] isiscolo

62. I friended you because you were posting a lot of PoA movie analysis stuff. You have an animated icon that I find mesmerizing. [livejournal.com profile] kaysha

63. You are a fellow fanboy. I associate the phrase "a fellow ____" with you very strongly! [livejournal.com profile] mark356

64. I ran across you and liked you, and then you seemed to disappear. Drifted out of the fandom? I hope not. [livejournal.com profile] aretina

65. I'd like to know you better, and I hope things improve for you so that you can come back to us. You're very outgoing and popular. If I drew your portrait, I'd use a lot of bright colors. [livejournal.com profile] marksykins

66. Yours is my favorite femslash ever. You are smashing. Your LJ layout hurts my eyes. [livejournal.com profile] lolaraincoat

67. There are a lot of illustrators in fandom, but you're an *artist*. And underappreciated. [livejournal.com profile] kaptainsnot

68. You're very young. You don't post anymore. [livejournal.com profile] lordofbair

69. I'm behind on reading your fic and analysis. Something you started got out of hand and ended up on F_W, and you took it with admirable good humor. [livejournal.com profile] arwencordelia

70. I liked hearing about your conlang, and wish you would carry on posting about it. [livejournal.com profile] so_haleza_grise

71. You are related to someone on this list. [livejournal.com profile] faelori/[livejournal.com profile] impinc

72. WHERE ARE YOU? PLEASE COME BACK! EDIT: If I'd known that was all I had to do to get you back, I'd have done it a long time ago... [livejournal.com profile] mctabby

73. I have a crush on you. You are dirty and wicked and elegant, and I recently discovered you're cute as well. You should really IM me sometime, you know that? [livejournal.com profile] atdelphi

74. I've left your fandom, but I still consider you a friend -- one of my first fandom friends. I often think of your advice when I write. I always enjoy your photos, even when I don't comment. [livejournal.com profile] bardsmaid

75. You are the perpetrator of the "not greasy, just very soft" trope. Yet, I forgive you. I wish you would come back to us. [livejournal.com profile] somniesperus

76. You're the author of the only Snape/Hermione fic I ever liked. [livejournal.com profile] tangledaria

80. You're the funniest person on my flist, by far. You enjoy sharks and zombies. I still giggle to myself about the soup in the locker. [livejournal.com profile] dailyplanet

81. You are quite possibly my favorite writer ever. No one else writes like you. I am a helpless fanboy fainting at your feet. Yet, I think you don't know who I am, which is probably because I'm too intimidated by your genius to, uh... talk to you. (omg call me plz!!) [livejournal.com profile] nopejr

82. I don't know how I came to friend you, but your posts are always intelligent and interesting. Political, often. [livejournal.com profile] infinitemonkeys

83. I love and respect you greatly. You like movies and baseball, and stand up for what you believe. I see you as quintessentially American, and yes, I mean that in a nice way. [livejournal.com profile] maidenjedi

87. You hardly ever post, but when you do, the whole fandom shows up. [livejournal.com profile] black_dog

88. I can't remember why I friended you, but you seem nice. You fangirl Sirius. [livejournal.com profile] dragonelle_fics

89. Love love love. I think we have similar writing toolboxes, as it were, you just use the tools better than I do. I was *stunned* when I found out you weren't a native speaker. I would never, ever have known. [livejournal.com profile] spican

90. Your fic incorporates a lot of elements that I would normally say I don't like, yet I've read massive amounts of it. I think you've proven that it's not what's in a fic, but what you do with it. You're like the cool aunt I never had. [livejournal.com profile] theatresm

91. Your writing is incredible. I routinely become incoherent when trying to feedback you. You're also one of those funny two-journal people. [livejournal.com profile] alibi_factory/[livejournal.com profile] sifelaver

92. I have expressed my love for you in a very public, tangible, and painstaking way. To go further, I think I'd have to build a physical shrine to you in my house. I think our writing styles are not dissimilar, but your stuff is better, and I wish I could read all of it. I once had a dream about you, and you looked just like your default icon. Every good thing you get in life is deserved. You are very sexy. [livejournal.com profile] switchknife

93. Hello again. I'm glad to be able to renew my friendship with you. [livejournal.com profile] malograntum

108. I knew you vaguely somewhere else, and now you seem to be getting into fandom. I think that's cool. [livejournal.com profile] nakedcelt

109. We just can't seem to stay away from each other, can we? Mysterious forces are at work. We don't always like each other, but I think we love each other. Why are we never in the same fandom, dammit! *shakes fist* [livejournal.com profile] keladryb

110. Your drawings are beautiful. I sometimes say your name to myself when I see you around, just because it's lovely and feels good to say. [livejournal.com profile] lunulet

If you don't get your description, just ask and I'll elaborate.

Next up: Links to the good fics I obliquely referred to in the list.

Two nights ago, I watched an episode of Smallville. Well, most some of it. It was the most Smallville I'd watched at a sitting, anyway. That night, I promptly had a dream involving Lex/Lionel, which disturbed me even as I was having the dream. Even if I didn't already have many reasons, I think this alone is good cause for me to avoid Smallville fandom as much as I can.

Also that night, there was a ridiculously sudden, severe, and brief rainstorm. I woke up vaguely, then went back to my dreaming. What I didn't realize was that the power had gone out, so of course my alarm clock didn't do its thing that morning. Fortunately I wasn't too late for work, and had a nice excuse and all.

I took a look at the sky and thought well, that looks pretty blue, I reckon we won't have any more rain. So I set off on my bike. Of course, as soon as I was more than halfway to work, it began raining ridiculously again. Huge splashy drops. And I swear, the second I got to the door, it stopped cold. Didn't rain again the rest of the day. Perhaps the Powers were annoyed with me and my terrible incestuous dreams.

Well, as long as you know I'm not avoiding you, I'm just inept!
I think it's hard for people to get to know me through LJ. I'm very mysterious and secretive, for some reason.

I don't see you as particularly mysterious, nor did I ever think you were avoiding me. I think your secrecy level is about average for people on my flist. :)
