GIP again. Iconned from
kaptainsnot's previously-linked giftart. ♥
Happy birthday,
stiletto! I drew a little something for you... it's just a sketch, but hopefully will serve as a small token of my esteem.

More from the anonymous meme, non-HP this time. (
bowdlerized, AVERT YOUR EYES!)
RPS
107. I don't know where you came from, but you're one of two people who has written RPS I enjoyed. (#91 is the other.)

What I said: "I don't really get RPS and I don't like LotR, so it's hard to say why I decided to read this, but funnily enough, I enjoyed it. I liked the small details, the sounds, the smells... You do a good job of evoking this place and time that have temporarily become the whole world for these two men. Your prose has a clean, gentle rhythm that transcends genre."
91. Your writing is incredible. I routinely become incoherent when trying to feedback you. You're also one of those funny two-journal people.

God help me, I loved this. The imagery is as fantastically surreal as the pairing might suggest, yet it's grounded in the reality of the way people are together, and it's just... damn. It *has* to be RPS, too, because it's about the roles people make up for themselves-- wanting and not wanting someone to peel them away. (Take a good look at the last two paragraphs. Sifelaver takes us out on a laugh, and it takes a second to realize that he's also just encapsulated the whole story in microcosm!)
'Evolution has brought them here, to the top of metal and glass clawing into the sky, a penthouse laid with careful insults, sharp knives and expensive furniture. They haven't been out in weeks, and their skin is sallow from lack of sun...'

X-Files
95. People have mistaken your writing for mine, and vice versa. I consider this a tremendous compliment to me. You should write more in my fandom.
Any Moment (PG-13, Doggett/Reyes, Reyes/Follmer) by

This is the fic that was mistaken for mine, in a secret-gift-exchange guessing game situation. It's spare and stylish and lovingly characterized. I would have been happy to claim it!
