I'm working on the apparently necessary second part of the profanity compilation. Meanwhile...

-This is a scan from a page of a comic in which (for plot-related reasons, I'm sure) Doc Ock has occasion to perform CPR on Spider-man. Um.

-As some of you may recall, Jon Stewart was on the Bill O'Reilly show a little while back, when Bill teasingly referred to Jon's audience as "stoned slackers". Comedy Central commissioned a poll to see whether this was an accurate assessment.

'Viewers of Jon Stewart's show are more likely to have completed four years of college than people who watch "The O'Reilly Factor," according to Nielsen Media Research.' [CNN]

-[livejournal.com profile] mctabby is back with Summary Executions, Part XXIII. If these don't make you laugh, you're dead. Darling Tabby, we missed you so!

-[livejournal.com profile] plausive has posted Harry Potter and the Hot Sex0rz and the guy who escaped from jail and turned out to not be bad and stuff, part 7. (No, I never get tired of typing that.)

-Does anyone know if there's an LJ feed for Spamusement? Or are any of you savvy enough with RSS to create one?

...aaaand, wrapping up what has been for me the week of a thousand birthday greetings, happy fanniversary to [livejournal.com profile] marksykins.

That Spiderman scan is almost as good as the one where the Doc shows a dildo arm into Peter's face, roots about and then sprays white gunk in poor abused Spideys face. I mean, really, I expcet this in manga but a *cough* wholesome american comic? Yikes (gimme more!)

Haha, I know, I've seen it... One of those things that must be seen to be believed!

Spidey and Doc Ock.

The best part is the panel in the lower left-hand corner. "It's working he's starting to respond..."

lol..

Hee! Hell, I'd take that as a pretty good reason to live. :D

Ahhh Marvel comics

The Spidey scan... well! What might be sad is how I've got that artist's name on the tip of my tongue, because I'm sure I recognize him, but I'm really not sure. If you actually have that issue, could you tell me who the penciller and inker are so I won't go nuts wondering?

My brain latched onto Mark Texeira but I don't feel sure he's the one, just the scratchiness of it made me think of him.

Saaave meeee if you can!

Maybe I should scan gay mutant Northstar, purely for plot reasons of course, performing CPR on a homophobic prick! I just can't remember which issue of X-Men that is exactly. Or was it Uncanny. ... Damn.

No, I don't have it, and I'm afraid I'm not comics-savvy enough to know. The site I got it from is here, if that helps.

Ah well! :) Yeah, I checked that site out yesterday going from the link and they didn't have any information. (Really, I think galleries like that need to identify issue numbers and stuff!) Oh well! It didn't keep me up at night wondernig who it was, at least ;) Thanks for sharing it, because it was very amusing.

I think the best part is, "I need you to be that man again!"

God, I know.

As I roam the world of scans, it's gradually dawned on me that in the comicsverse, Peter and Otto's love really IS so canon.

I am supposed to be on vacation in the wilds of Washington state, far from teh evol that is live journal.

But. BUT!

I heard something calling me... calling in a muffled voice... and it was Otto, tongue planted firmly in Peter Parker's cheek. Armed and dangerous, as always.

Swoon ahoy!
