There's a mutated strain of the interview meme going around: the character interview meme! This one looks like fun. Ask any of the characters I've written a question, and I'll do my best to make them answer. It's times like this I wish I had more stories posted. It looks like the available characters are:
Marita Covarrubias
Jeffrey Spender
Alex Krycek
the/an oilien :)
Abbie Carmichael
Jack McCoy
Peter Pettigrew
Draco Malfoy
Lucius Malfoy
Narcissa Malfoy
Severus Snape
So, ask away!

did you like it?
did you keep it a secret?

Well, there was one time, back in first year, when McGonagall was having us turn apricots into avocados -- it was meant to be easy, as they're both plants, but it really turned out to be very tricky -- James got the hang of it right away, of course... Hm, yes, anyway -- I was trying to do it, but I couldn't quite get it to transfigure all the *way*, so I ended up with this sort of funny-shaped apricot that had gone all green and mushy on the inside -- really quite disgusting. So, of course, Sirius offered me a galleon if I'd eat it -- he was always doing things like that -- and I said no at first, but then he offered me two, and that really seemed like a lot of money just for eating this disgusting piece of fruit, so I did it. And -- well, it turns out that mistransfigured fruit can be a bit poisonous -- I'm sure Sirius didn't know... I never told Miss Pomfrey what *exactly* had landed me in the hospital wing for the weekend, so, yes, I guess you could say I kept it secret.
"I did get the two galleons, though, so you can't really call it a loss.
"Er... what was the question?"

Date: 2003-08-02 07:36 pm (UTC)"A favorite host... You must mean a favorite human host. It's hard to choose among them; they're all very much alike. Inside them, it's overwhelmingly Human, almost all the way to the top, with just a thin layer of variation to fill them up the rest of the way.
"It's hard to choose... I don't like being carried by humans. They're very weak, and it's too difficult to communicate. They talk all the time to each other, but it's more crude than in the other animals -- I think it's desperation that makes them talk so much. The part they share with each other is that small part at the top that's different, not the vast Human part that fills the bottom and is the same in each one. It's... backwards. Tiring and frustrating. All humans are lonely.
"Your question is too hard. They're too alien for me to like or dislike them.
"But... there was one I understood, a little. We were both being held captive by the same people, and they were gradually killing us both. In our captivity, we were pushing in the same direction -- fighting on the same side. Covarrubias was her name."
