-Daniel Radcliffe is the biggest dork ever. <3

-They interviewed Tim Spall, and I only get to see about ten seconds of it? WOE. T_T

-How they can make a hippogryff look real and a dog look fake: Still Not Explained. On the other hand, underwater!Dementors: Ooh.

-Thewlis/Oldman OTP *whistles innocently*

-Apparently they were going to do the whole Sirius-almost-killing-Ron bit, but I imagine it was cut to reduce time and complexity. Movie!Sirius is not as dangerous as book!Sirius.

I randomly wish for Sirius/Ron. Does such a thing exist? If not, I hereby challenge you all to produce some. Humor my whim. Humor it, I say! *clap clap*

On that meme thingy, some people said they wished I would post about my real life. I was thinking about this, and realized that I really wouldn't know what to write about. My job isn't interesting. My only hobbies are conlanging and fandom, and I already post about those. I don't do a whole lot else... take care of the brother and the cat, do a variety of chores, go eat with people and talk about my job or fandom or politics... It's not as though there's a whole world of fascinating activities that I'm keeping from you.

Actually, when I do take note of interesting things in the world, I usually write them down and put them in my fic. My fiction is full of my own perceptions, attributed to characters.

I don't know, if I tried to write about real life, I think it would just be a lot of dull complaints. Cat coughed up a hairball again. Brother won't do his art homework. Slow drain, asshole dad, backyard overgrown with morning-glory vines...

Were there bloopers on the PoA DVD?

And, I've got to say, I'm enthralled by the knowledge that your cat coughed up a furball. Edge-of-your-seat entertainment. ... Yeah okay, so I was one who asked about real life. I never really seem to care about dullness since real life is interesting to me. XD

No bloopers I could find, but I didn't look very hard. Maybe there are some as an easter egg.

Other people asked about real life as well, so perhaps you're not the only one enthralled by messy cats.

Kind of disappointing, really - I'd love to see Alan Rickman fuck up a line when Snape's supposed to be speaking fiercely to Harry or Hermione or Sirius.

Maybe it's just the fact that you don't talk about real life that makes people so curious. You know, the automatic desire to know things when it isn't offered, especially when most other people do talk about real life. You might be some secret super-hero or lead an exhilarating life as a cage-fighter and be holding out on us for all we know. Or I could be full of shit, that's more likely. :D

I get the feeling that the WB is really controlling about how the movie franchise is interpreted--it's like they're afraid to let anything in that veers away from the rigid ideas they have about the HP world. I don't really have any evidence, but it's a vibe, you know? Like maybe they don't want to show anything that really contradicts their idea of the characters, maybe? Despite the *huge* popularity of Alan Rickman and Tom Felton (I read somewhere that Tom gets more fan mail than Dan Radcliffe), I think they're both really underutilized by the WB publicity machine.

The deleted scene Jamie Waylett described, where someone's boggart turns into a dancer and all the kids form a conga line (much to Draco's disgust), is the kind of thing I really wanted to see. That sounds like the *perfect* thing for a deleted scene/blooper reel, but we never get anything really *fun* like that. Dammit.

Mmm, Icarus has written Ron/Sirius. I'm sure it's on her website (http://home.earthlink.net/~dinkbird/) somewhere.

Aww. Only one little piece.

Of course, being Icarus, it's really good.

But I want more! *goes to hunt it down*

...now I have the terrifying mental image of an LJ community devoted to the discussion of hairballs. And I've got the uneasy certainty that there probably already is one.

Sirius/Ron would be interesting. They're both such total hotheads.

I feel the same way about real life. Some people have a knack for making it into an lj topic. I would never know what to say. ::shrug::

I randomly wish for Sirius/Ron. Does such a thing exist?

Oddly enough, I was wishing for the same thing this morning. I do have a drabble that was posted a few months ago:

"Look, I said I was sorry."

No reply.

"I wasn't in my right mind. I almost killed Pettigrew, for Christ's sake, and he was the only one who could clear my name." Sirius threw up his hands and stalked to the other end of the dreary, doxie-infested living room, and Ron wrapped his arms around his stomach. "I said I was sorry."

"I don't want an apology." Said quietly, as Sirius' hand was on the doorknob.

"What do you want then? It was two years ago."

"Less than that."

"What do you want?"

"Did it mean anything?"

Sirius drew away from the door. "If you think I'd... molest Harry in his bed or something--"

"Would you shut up for once?" Ron glared at him, and Sirius shoved his hands in his pockets, sulking. "I just meant, did it mean you were... you thought I was attractive. Or would you have done it to anyone?"

"I shouldn't have done it at all."

"That's not was I was asking. Answer the fucking question."

Sirius snorted. "You were upset."

"You know what? Forget I brought it up." Ron pushed past, threw the door open.

"You were so pale... your freckles looked like chocolate and I hadn't had any in years and I wanted to lick them off." Ron froze, hand still on the knob. "You were hurt, but you were spitting mad too, ready to fight me. You were fire, and you were beautiful."

The door swung shut, with Ron still inside.

Ooooohhhhh! *shiver* That was wonderful! I love it when people who have been at cross purposes finally understand where the other is coming from. (Ack--I can't figure out how to say it--I hope that made sense!) And the mental image of the door shutting on Sirius and Ron, both of whom now know they were/are wanted is just delicious!

Exquisite. Off to rec, because oddly enough, someone else was wishing for Ron/Sirius this week, but she said A '57 Vincent was the only piece she could find.

Maybe we could talk Josan into writing it. (Or you into writing more. *smiles innocently*)

Apparently they were going to do the whole Sirius-almost-killing-Ron bit, but I imagine it was cut to reduce time and complexity. Movie!Sirius is not as dangerous as book!Sirius.

Alas, yes. I mourned that particular cut yet again when I saw the deleted scene with Minerva in the Gryffindor common room interrogating Sir Cadogan about how somebody managed to get the passwords. I sooooooo wanted a scene of Sirius lurking in that dormitory, knife in hand.

Why? Because I have an idea for a Cluedo/Clue icon where the text reads as follows:

Sirius Black
With the knife
In the dormitory

Sigh. I guess now that the DVD has blighted my hopes I shall just have to go ahead and fake it. I've been holding off, just in case...

It's a tiny bit, in the section about the makeup and animal effects on the second disc. The crew are talking about what they did to make Spall look ratlike, and he has a short comment basically saying that once he was in costume and makeup, he had no more doubts about how to play the character.

It drives me crazy, really -- they actually had him talking about his character, which is rare in HP-related interviews to start with, and we barely get to see any of it. Argh.

That is frustrating. The interviews we see generally seem to be the same handful of rather dull questions again and again. And it's the same handful of questions as the last 17 interviews they've each done. Then again, in the interviews with some of the adults, I get the impression that they don't care that much about their character. Hopefully, the impression's wrong, but I'm not too sure. And thinking about the kids commenting on their characters brings horrific thoughts of Emma Watson, who somehow managed to write 11-16 pages about Hermione Granger without apparently having any understanding of her at all.

OTOH, I felt rather bad for Harry Melling. He was getting asked the same handful of questions as the other young actors and they just didn't fit at all.

Heh, I've requested Sirius/Ron a few times lately in various drabble requests and exchanges, and [livejournal.com profile] lazy_daze was brave enough to give it a go - this is sweet: http://www.livejournal.com/users/lazy_daze/120754.html#cutid3

Edited my own comment because it was one of my many complaints. Sorry. I like hearing about the real lives of others, I suppose, because it's real. But I do wish you'd write more, too. :)
