I get the feeling that the WB is really controlling about how the movie franchise is interpreted--it's like they're afraid to let anything in that veers away from the rigid ideas they have about the HP world. I don't really have any evidence, but it's a vibe, you know? Like maybe they don't want to show anything that really contradicts their idea of the characters, maybe? Despite the *huge* popularity of Alan Rickman and Tom Felton (I read somewhere that Tom gets more fan mail than Dan Radcliffe), I think they're both really underutilized by the WB publicity machine.
The deleted scene Jamie Waylett described, where someone's boggart turns into a dancer and all the kids form a conga line (much to Draco's disgust), is the kind of thing I really wanted to see. That sounds like the *perfect* thing for a deleted scene/blooper reel, but we never get anything really *fun* like that. Dammit.
