This is really for
_hannelore, but since I bothered to upload everything I thought I might as well make it public.

Amadh & Chordeiles (& friends) at 35. Left to right: Rambu, Amadh, Chordeiles, and Siiiiiiiiiilver Tabby.

Rambu at 32. I just recently realized that hunter pets grow as they level (okay, I'm slow), so this shot is to compare my wolf to later levels. In the wild, he'd be the same size as the Ghostpaw Alpha he's up against here. So wee!
Video clip: Amadh vs the Plains Creeper. Nothing too exciting, just demonstrating what the ScrollingCombatText addon looks like. Normally I wouldn't be meleeing with my hunter like this, of course; I think the fire trap ends up doing more damage than me with my sword. :P
ETA:

This here's what my UI looks like now,
_hannelore. You can download the package here. You don't have to use all the features if you don't want to, I just have General, ActionBars, UnitFrames, and ScrollingCombatText.

Date: 2006-01-09 04:48 pm (UTC)They do? I'd suspected that for a while when I started playing, but then I dismissed it for lack of evidence. That's good if they do. (Bestial Wrath makes my kitty grow! :D)

Date: 2006-01-09 05:04 pm (UTC)A quick way to find out for sure would be to compare my pet in the 30s with someone else's 60 pet of the same type, but I hardly ever see this one at high levels; it seems like all the high-level hunters with wolves have the AV Frostwolf. Of course, that'll probably change with the new patch, we'll see more variety.
Speaking of Bestial Wrath, how do you like it now? It looked like the intention was to make it less powerful, but I'm bad at math, so I couldn't tell from the description if it was significantly less damage over time.

Date: 2006-01-09 09:01 pm (UTC)I think it probably is less damage over all, but I don't have the numbers on hand. But a big part of the usefulness (esp. in PvP) is for breaking snares and fears on the pet, which is an instant effect. Making my cat unstoppable is the exciting part! That, and getting huge!
