For those of you who don't know, JKR's got a new interview where she gives some fairly specific answers to fan questions of varying relevance (and possible Book 6 spoilers, so click with care). On the non-giving-things-away front, I really appreciated this:

"I am normally like this when I write a book. Usually when I am just over halfway I normally love it, but by the time I finish it I completely despise it and think it is worthless rubbish."

Heh, I can certainly relate.

Aside from that, I just want to point out one thing: JKR did not say that Harry will "survive Book 7", as briefly reported on HPANA (they seem to have fixed it now). What she said was that Harry will survive to Book 7, which I think you'll agree is not the same.

The pornish_pixies Fantasy Fest seems to be going along swimmingly. Probably my favorite entry so far is mousapelli's 'Just Following Orders' [NC-17, Remus/Harry/Neville], a deadpan slash satire, equal parts smutty and sardonic. I wouldn't want to give away the best lines, but there are some big laughs here.

The writing of my own entry is going incredibly slowly, but at least it's going. When you spend half an hour on two sentences, you know you've had better days.

Also, I think I may have gone mad, because I signed up for merry_smutmas. Luck, be a lady tonight.....
