Yesterday, a little before 8am, a kid outside started screaming intermittently. Not like screaming and playing, just... occasionally screaming. This obviously woke me up and went on for about half an hour, at which point I went back to bed.
Today, a little before 8am... screaming again. This time I put on my glasses and looked out the window. The kid, about 4 or 5, was standing on the stairs of the apartment building across the street, with a woman sitting nearby. Nothing was happening, she would just occasionally scream at the top of her lungs, every minute or so for half an hour.
I'm really hoping this isn't going to be a regular thing. I have to figure the kid is developmentally disabled. Maybe this has been going on forever and the neighbors just told her to take it outside, though I don't see how that is helpful. Please let it be a fluke. :|
