do we have a third surprise in the works somewhere?

Wow, a new Harry Potter movie. I did not see that coming! I would say I'm cautiously optimistic. It might be good, and if it is (or even if it's not), I could see it breathing some new life into the fandom, which is not dead by any means, but is certainly much quieter than it once was. (This is my usual way of thinking: I don't care as much about whether some things are good as I do about whether they would be good for fandom. And sometimes the best fandoms come out of flawed source materials.)

And of course, we've got our new warchief at last. ( Anyone who knows or cares what that means probably knows who it is already, but cut for spoilers just in case. )
