I want to recommend this untitled ficlet by caesia390. It's James-centric, and manages to address his relationships with Lily, Snape, Sirius, Remus, *and* Peter in a completely convincing and elegant way. It just dumps all the crap and gets right to the point (and it is a brutal point), and every step of the way I was thinking, yes, this is right, this is true. Go read it right now.

Also, XF:VCU episode 1x03 "Salve Mea" by Humbuggie airs today. It's a Mulder-Scully casefile.

The Green Fairy took them away, into a world where nothing was, as it seemed. Time seemed to stand still, or move slower at least. He couldn't grasp that at first, but then he could. As their feelings became an abyss of emotional rampaging, there was nothing left for him to do but enter the void. To be like them.

"The Green Fairy" is absinthe, for those who don't know. Ah, that staple of HP fic finally comes to XF fandom. *g*

I completely sympathize with the heart-crushing. Yeah, XF was that kind of show. And my devotion to Krycek is likewise boundless.
