I think what appealed to me about this meme was talking about our "personal fanon" for a character, which to me is different from what you may have written about them in your fics. Sometimes I'll write different versions of a character too, not explicitly or even noticeably, but in my mind they have differing histories. But certain things are just what I irrationally believe about a character because I've decided it, so to me that IS what happened. They can be major plot points or just uninteresting details that somehow stick.

The easiest character to think of answers for was also the one whose fandom I left the longest ago.

Alex Krycek
1. His mother's name was Irina, and she owed CGB Spender a favor.
2. He was sleeping with WMM, neither out of necessity nor lust.
3. He was never in love with anyone but Marita.

Peter Pettigrew
1. His mother was a maid working in a Muggle house, and she was a witch.
2. He was sexually abused by his mother's employer.
3. In Albania, he told Bertha Jorkins everything would be all right, even though he knew giving birth to Voldemort would kill her.

Argus Filch
1. He came from a large, poor family with several siblings.
2. He ran away from home as a child, and never came back. Only his sister wanted to look for him.
3. He knows that he can survive on his own in the Muggle world.


Oh, I don't have time to do any more now. I'll do the rest later. When I do them they have a tendency to want to become stories.

Well they sort of exist. The first one I wrote and then it stopped making sense and I turned it into an original story. The second one I just didn't finish.

I know I read one or two stories by other people way, way back, but I can't for the life of me remember any names except, of course, for Merri-Todd Webster's Cornerstone series, which is what made me fall in love with the pairing in the first place. *...runs off to re-read*
