I always find a little strange the use of "health issues" to describe what would be better called "sickness issues".

So since March I have been having issues with my health, or lack thereof. That is a pretty long time to suffer and have no doctor be able to tell me what is wrong or how to fix it.

Tomorrow I'm going to have surgery, the goal of which is to make me feel better.

There has been a high concentration of tragedy and anguish on my friends list lately. I feel a little selfish asking for thoughts to be spared for me. But if you're the type to pray or send thoughts, and it isn't too burdensome, I could use it now.

Goodness, one would hope. Surgery designed to make you feel worse is the job of assorted unethical experimenting types.

Well, what I meant was that it's designed to make me *feel* better as opposed to actually *curing* an underlying problem, the latter of which may be impossible. At least to current medical knowledge.

I have fantasies about Bones McCoy visiting from the future and rescuing me from these dark-age quacks.
