You know when my new computer gets here, it's going to take like 3 days to install WoW, between installing it, installing BC, and downloading and applying all the patches. The CDs for BC are sitting right here, but I'm not really sure where the original CDs are. That's something to work on.

I'm waiting for _hannelore to call and alert me that she has arrived in Oakland. The phone has rung twice and both times it was my boss. Exciting! And classy, calling people when they are officially on vacation.

My house is dirty. But it's less dirty than before.

Can't you just copy the Warcraft folder from one computer to the other? I think I did that once, way back in the mists of time, and I think it worked...

Probably, but I think it would take just as long over the wireless connection. Maybe if I cable them together. Maybe my dad has an ethernet cable I could use.

You definitely can copy the folder. In fact, it's often useful to do so, since it will also come with addons, keybindings, macros, savedvariables, etc (though i think macros, and maybe keybindings, are now being stored server sides?)

I always use firewire to install warcraft on new computers, and often with big patches (since there's 2 or 3 warcraft computers I tech for.)

Wireless may or may not be faster than doing all the installing, but even if it's slower, it would be an option that would require less frequent work on your part to keep moving.
