Whoa again! I haven't had people commenting in my LJ like that since the days of 50-comment-deep threads about Vernon Dursley's psychological problems. You guys give me the warm fuzzies. <3


But the real reason I'm posting is that _hannelore needs to read the last letter in this Dan Savage column. Go! I'll wait.

Since when is he so anti-foodsex anyway? I thought the only forms of sex he disapproved of were scat and bestiality. I'm pretty sure he said that in a column once. He must be getting more conservative in his old age.

I'm going to have to start keeping my negative opinions about maple to myself, since apparently in Vermont the punishment for not putting maple syrup on every food is death.

I was never a big pancake person, so I'm not a big syrup person per se.. but I lived in NH for many years and one of my favorite old fashioned little general stores had maple sugar candies in the shape of leaves (so clever) that I always liked. Reminds me of the sugar at the bottom of iced coffee.

It's not that I've never HAD "pure maple syrup from a bucket on a tree" or whatever, it's just that my brother buys the fake stuff because it's what he puts on his eggos.

FWIW, if you've ever had to deal with the results of inadequately cleaned-up whipped cream the next morning, you'd be, at the least, anti-whipped-cream!
