X-Files: Violent Crimes Unit updated today with "Catacomb", our first Spender-Follmer casefile, written by

deslea. The grisly discovery of a mass grave under an abandoned monastery sees Spender and Follmer cleaning up another agent's mess -- literally.

At work this morning, I went to check and see if the episode was up yet, and after looking at the first bit of it, I couldn't stop myself from sekritly reading the rest. This story rocks, I tells ya! I have to admit that Follmer never captured my interest when he was on the show, but this situation throws him into a completely different light -- he's an outsider struggling to find a place in the team. This team, despite their disagreements, still have their experiences in fighting the conspiracy in common, and Brad doesn't share that; he's up to his neck in mysteries, and Deslea reflects that skillfully here.

Uh-oh. When I start calling a character by his first name, you know it's love...
