I can understand, in some fandoms, with some characters, why people would be shocked at a slashy reading. But Captain Jack? Please. We're talking about a character whom no less a mainstream personage than Roger Ebert described as resembling a drunken drag queen.
In any case, I do hope you find time for more PotC at some point, since you do have a knack for it. :)
