pauraque_bkFar more than the victory of a specific candidate, what I wanted was a relatively clean election that was not full of blatant fraud. I don't think our country could have withstood another administration whose legitimacy was questionable. The US will collapse someday -- all world powers do -- but I would really rather it not take place in my lifetime, because I have a lot of other things to do and it would have been very inconvenient.

I spent so long in HP fandom that even though my thing takes place in the US, I find myself automatically replacing pants with trousers, sweater with jumper, and sneakers with trainers.
