by the way
Dec. 13th, 2008 02:39 amI have apparently become lactose intolerant. I never had a problem with dairy before, but in the past couple of months it has dramatically ceased to agree with me. It took a while for me to realize that it was milk that was making me intermittently sick, but after some unpleasant experimentation that's clearly the case.
My mom couldn't have dairy either, and I know it's not uncommon to develop the intolerance as an adult -- in fact, it's not really "normal" for adult mammals to be able to digest milk, in general, I don't think. It's just odd it came on so suddenly like that.
