And Snape's memories. Oh. My. GOD. If JKR had written a subplot specifically to please me, you'd better believe that would have been it.



It's past three in the morning, and I don't think I can quite manage anything but semi-coherent gibbering at this point, so I'd better go to bed. Suffice it to say that I, er-- enjoyed the book, and will have many things to say about it when I've had some sleep and got my thoughts together.

I have also finished it and am only semi coherent at the moment. I will eventually try to collect my thoughts and post something about the things I liked and didn't like about it, but I will say that I thought it was a winner, right up there with Azkaban for me. Lots of good stuff that I'd been speculating about for years; it was a great read for anyone who was interested in the whole MWPP/Snape relationships, both as children and as adults.

I think the thing I regretted most about it was that it mucks up vaznetti's continuity for Parallel Catastrophes, since we now know that Narcissa's family tree is somewhat different. Other than that, many squeals of both anguish and joy but no real complaints.

I know, I let out a big "awww, c'mon!" for that. I'm more worried about other people's WIPs being wrecked than my own. :)
