Rest Your Head Close to My Heart (R, Harry/Hermione) [AO3]
It's almost time to wean her last child, and Hermione is thinking about what she's losing. Meanwhile, Harry is thinking about what he never had.
content: Lactation kink, adult nursing, non-sexual ageplay, epilogue-compliant fidelity issues (i.e. Harry and Hermione are both married, and not to each other)

I might just go ahead and make it my mission to travel the fandom as a kink-knight-errant, filling all the ageplay prompts in every fest. That's cool with everybody, right?

Yup! I admit for having a soft spot for it and while I've only ventured there once artistically, it's one of my favorite pieces.

Really, because I could swear I've seen more than one ageplay piece by you! Although we may just be using different definitions — I know you've done Daddy kink a few times, which could be interpreted as ageplay or as its own separate kink. Which piece were you thinking of?

I know it's splitting hairs, but I don't consider Daddy play true age-play since it's very heavy on the sexual elements, to me it's more straight role-play.

I know it's a distinction that a lot of people don't make, but for me age-play is absent the sexual elements.

Ah, no worries, people have different ways of categorizing, it's fine.

And wow, whatever you call it, I call that drawing GORGEOUS. The soft shading brings out the tenderness of the moment so beautifully. So much care and understanding between them, so subtly expressed. I'm not surprised it's a favorite of yours, it's really stunning.

Thank you, I don't often feel comfortable exploring those non-sexual kinks in my own work or often see anyone else do so, but I love them, which is why it was so good to read your fic today since you have such an astute grasp of them. :)

Well, it's personal experience, partly. :) Not that my fics are autobiographical, but doing a good amount of kinks IRL, including non-sexual ones, definitely makes such things less of a stretch to write.
