My husband and I have separate bedrooms as well, and I don't feel so weird about it now. But I was an only child; I can't imagine not having my own bedroom! Also, he's a sleepwalker and does all kinds of crazy things in his sleep. He's almost injured himself on occasion trying to "escape" from his locked bedroom window. It's simultaneously funny and disconcerting.
