It may be worth noting that whenever I give up, I immediately find just what I'm looking for.

When I can't find something, I say out loud, "Where is X?" and then immediately find it. Usually I don't even get out the whole sentence. I can look for my keys everywhere, but as soon as I start to say, "Where are my keys?" I find them. True story.

Well, Flitwick's birthday is the day after mine, so the chances of there being anyone who actually shares my birthday is probably quite slim. Well, until she's put up a couple of hundred characters and is rooting around amongst the minor house-elves and assorted animals to come up with a few more.

I think I'll pass on being sorted into Sparklypoo this time. More and more I'm inclining towards my default support-the-underdog position. This used to make me want to be in Slytherin, since that's canon-unpopular, but I've now decided that Slytherin is too sexay. This clearly means that I need to lobby the Hat to sort me into Hufflepuff.

(Am planning to secretly sabotage my own sorting poll. I've currently sorted myself into "4 Privet Drive" (hey, it's a house!) so that I can see the results so far. But when everybody else has put me into Ravenclaw or Gryffindor or wherever, I may just change that vote to Hufflepuff. And then rally every RPG character I've ever played and get them to vote me into Hufflepuff too.)

Or not. Ballot stuffing probably isn't a very Hufflepuff thing to do, is it?

Besides, we've gotten Flitwick and Sprout's birthdays, too. Dobby's certainly a more central character than either of them.
