Wow. That completely sucked.
It was slack and boring and mischaracterized and lacked continuity with the earlier episodes in the season. It was also rather poorly directed -- what's with the shaky camera work?
We're supposed to think Jed's been doing nothing but pining for Abbey? Then why didn't you show us that over the past few episodes? This episode played like it was written by a die-hard Abbey-defender, as if we've *ever* seen Jed even come close to caring what she thinks about matters of policy.
None of the characters had anything interesting to do or say. It was all I could do to stay awake.
Also, we don't hug Toby. We never, ever hug Toby.
And we don't quote Romeo & Juliet.
The one thing I did sort of like was Halfley. I liked his little chuckle when his aide mentioned the cover of Time. That was pretty much it.
So, yeah. All I can say is that Mark Goffman needs to never write for this show ever again.
