Two-thirds of the way through GoF. I think I'm gonna make it this time! A couple of random things:
'Nice socks, Potter,' Moody growled as he passed, his magical eye staring through Harry's robes.

'Oh -- yeah, Dobby the house-elf knitted them for me,' said Harry, grinning.

'He is so creepy!' Parvati whispered, as Moody clunked away. 'I don't think that eye should be allowed!'

(GoF 365 UK paperback)
Emphasis mine. I'm with you, Parvati. o_O

The ropes of weed tying the hostages to the statue were thick, slimy and very strong. For a fleeting second [Harry] thought of the knife Sirius had brought him for Christmas -- locked in his trunk in the castle a quarter of a mile away, no use to him whatsoever.

(432-433)
Okay, WHAT is up with this? The knife, the mirror -- agh! JKR, what are you doing?

When I've finished the book, I'm sure I'll have more to say, but I don't want to get ahead of myself.

Also, I've just realized how you can make a two hour movie out of GoF: Ditch the first two Tasks.

[EDIT: Oh, I wanted to say -- happy birthday, Neville!]

It is rather hysterical.

What's H/Hrism? Harry/Hermioneism? *confused*

Yes. I could never work out why the shippers decided to abbreviate it that way, 'cause, you know... Harry has an R in it too. o_O

All the name things are puzzling. Would "S" be Snape, Sirius or Sybil?

Yeah. And if you write SS/PP, you're not sure if Snape is getting up to things with Peter Pettigrew, Poppy Pomfrey, Padma Patil, or Parvati Patil. But that'd be JKR's fault.

I think I understand. Although quite what it has to do with Cho/Harry I don't know. (I nearly wrote Cho/Hermione then! My friend has curropted me!)
